George "Fred" Morris, 68, of Fort Madison, IA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his home.
He was born on January 24, 1943 in Keokuk, IA to Harry and Esther Kircher Morris. Fred married Jane Davis on September 1, 1963 in Keokuk. He then married Victoria Thompson in Ft. Madison on December 16, 1989 she passed away on April 10, 2002. Fred was a 1961 graduate of Keokuk High School. He worked in maintenance at Sheaffer Pen Co. for thirty six years. He attended Grace Bible Church, enjoyed rock hunting expeditions and was an expert woodworker.
Survivors include two sons, Chris (Lisa) Morris of Keokuk and Ed (Tami) Morris of Ottumwa; five grandchildren, Nathan Morris, Christian Morris, Elizabeth Morris, Madeline Morris, Clayton Morris; one brother, John (Roberta) Morris of Union, MO; one sister, Pam (Roger) Storm of Lakeville, MN; a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Morris of Ft. Madison and Jane Morris of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by his parents; Vicki Morris; a son, Dale.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
