Sam "Long Hair" "Moonshiner" Burchfield and wife Nancy Evaline Davis Burchfield. He was raised by Wilson Burchfield, but his father was Nathan Rose.

Long Hair Sam Burchfield
A well known moonshiner who lived in Chestnut Flats on the edge of Cades Cove Tn.
He was killed by ol man Rodney Lonefeild in a field just outside Chestnut Flatts over a young woman of the night
