Virginia Urbanski Fell, age 96, of Luna Pier, MI, and Toledo, OH, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2013, at the Legacy Home at Heritage Estates in Findlay, OH. Virginia was born December 28, 1916, in Toledo to Michael and Dorothy (Woodka) Urbanski. She graduated from St. Ursula Academy and Stautzenberger College. She worked as a legal secretary for the Ohio Attorney General's Office, where she met Attorney George H. Fell, who was working in the Bank Liquidations Division. This chance meeting led to their long, family friendship and eventual marriage. Virginia also worked until 1957 at Krantz Distributorship in Toledo and Old Dutch Brewery in Findlay, which was owned in partnership by her brother Lou. She then worked as a corporate secretary in Flat Rock, MI, until she married George H. Fell in 1972. Virginia was a gracious hostess, who loved to entertain family and friends, especially at the holidays. She possessed a compassionate heart, and she personally cared for many family and extended family members through prolonged illnesses. She was deeply proud of her Polish heritage and was devoted to her Catholic faith. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Ann Urbanski of Findlay, OH; 5 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews, and her stepchildren, George (Kathryn) Fell, Madelyn Fell, Richard (Luann) Fell, Charles (Elena) Fell, and John (Karen) Fell. Also surviving are 8 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Preceding Virginia in death were her husband, George; her brother, Louis Urbanski, and her stepson, James Fell. Friends may visit Thursday, October 17, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Urbanski Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Rd. (north of Laskey) (419)475-5055 with Rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Erie, MI. Interment of her cremated remains will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.
