Father Dies Three Months To A Day From Death Of His Son - Henry DePons, Life Long Resident of County Passed Away Today at Age of 62. Pioneer Woman of County Dead.
Just three months from the day of death of his son, Henry J DePons a life long resident of the city, passed away today at the home of his son Henry DePons, Washington Street. Mr. DePons had been ill for several months and suffered from a complication of diseases. The death of his son, Erwin, three months ago was a great shock to him.
Mr. DePons was born in Kossuth, Wisconsin June 14, 1854, and had made his home in the county practically all of his life. He was associated with his father conducting a lime works at Shoto and later a grist mill there. Removing to this city he established a pop factory on Chicago street and for years he had been retired owing to failing health.
Decedent was a member of the National Fraternal League. He is survived by four children, Henry Jr. this city; Mrs. Fred Pierce of Rapids; Mrs. Stanley Pierce and Mrs. Charles Windus of Wilkensburg, Pa. The later two were call here some time ago.
