Ms. Dodson was born Katherine Marie Dowen on Nov. 1, 1958, in Portland. She was a self-employed bookkeeper who moved to Lincoln City in 1989 and to Hillsboro in 1993. In 1986, she married Harry Dodson; they divorced.
Survivors include her daughter, Selena Headings; father, Eugene Dowen Sr.; mother, Rose Dowen; and brother, Eugene Dowen Jr.
Interment in McBride Cemetery in Carlton.
