Wheeler "00" Phillips, 71, of Stanford, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born September 1, 1935, in Lincoln County to the late Joe Mack and Mattie Pearl Hale Phillips. He was a farmer and carpenter.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Roberta Mae Lane Phillips of Stanford; three sons, Rocky Lee (Paula) Phillips, Jayme (Crystal) Phillips, and Rodman (Regina) Phillips, all of Stanford; four brothers, Robert Phillips of Harrodsburg, Elberta Phillips of Stanford, Alan Phillips of Grants Lick, KY, and Phil Phillips of Stanford; four sisters, Bessie Ellis of Harrodsburg, Juanita Noland of Crab Orchard, Janie Morgan of Louisville, and Lily Jesse of Amelia, Virginia; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 21, at Fox Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm Monday, August 20, at Fox Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
