Robert E. Phillips, 73, of Harrodsburg, husband of Patricia Faye Smith Phillips, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at his home.
Born Oct. 4, 1943, in Lincoln Co., he was the son of the late Joe Mack and Mattie Pearl (Hale) Phillips.
He was the retired owner of Rob’s Car Care, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: three daughters, Lynette (Norman) Hall of Harrodsburg, Neana (Devon) Dugan of Lexington and Traci Gondran of St. Peters, Mo.; one son, Christopher Troy Roberts of Frankfort; two sisters, Bessie Murphy of Harrodsburg and Janie Morgan of Louisville; three brothers, Elberta Phillips of Crab Orchard, Allen (Portia) Phillips of Grants Lick and Phillip W. Phillips of Lexington; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by eight siblings, Juanita, Ruth, Lillian, Dellie, Mack, Edward, Odell and Wheeler.
Funeral services are today, Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church with Garland Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation Wednesday, Feb. 15, 5–8 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, and Thursday, after 9 a.m. at Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.
