W. J. Henderson passed away at his home in the Standing Springs Community near Simpsonville. Mr. Henderson was married fifty years ago to Miss Mattie A. Clark who survives him. When he was sixteen years he fought for the Confederacy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, A.J. Henderson, F.J. Henderson both from Greenville, C.M. Henderson from Greenwood; four daughters, Mrs. J.H. Carr from Greenville, Mrs. J. M. Ashmore from Fountain Inn, Mrs. J.H. Taylor from Greenville and Mrs. R.L. Thompson from Simpsonville.
Services will be held at Standing Springs Baptist Church at 11 a.m.
