Greer- Frank J. Henderson of North Main Street Extension passed away at his home on Monday.
Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Sheppard Henderson who died in 1947. He was a native of the Reedy Fork Section of Greenville County but was reared in the Standing Springs Community. He was the son of the late Winifred Jasper and Mattie Clark Henderson. He was a member of Greer First Baptist Church and the Baraca Sunday School Class. Until his retirement in 1947 he was a construction foreman.
Among his survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Frank Gilreath of the home; five sons, Harold Henderson from Huntsville, Texas, Herman Henderson of the home, Chester Henderson from Los Angeles, California, Roy Henderson from Greenville; E.D. Henderson from Spartanburg; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Wood Mortuary on Tuesday at 3: 30 p.m. with Rev. Stewart Simms officiating followed by internment in Mountain View Cemetery .
