Mr Pruett was born Jan 24, 1876 in Missouri and had been a Baker resident for the past two and a half years. He moved here from Napa, Calif. He formerly was a long-time resident of Hope, Ark., and spent most of his life in the oil business in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.
He was a member of the Gideon Society and of the Calvary Baptist church.
He is survided by his widow, Mollie Jen Pruett, Baker; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Bailey, Oakland, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. R.J. Ruckman of Clarkston, Wn., and Mrs. Mack Dycous (sic), Conkanally (sic), Wn.; a brother, James Pruett of Spokane; several nieces and nephews.
