William Roy Pruett (sic), 74, died here yesterday afternoon after suffering a heart attack while riding in a car in the downtown area.
Funeral services for him are being arranged by the Beatty Chapel and will be announced later.
Mr Pruett was born Jan 24, 1876 in Missouri and had been a Baker resident for the past two and a half years. He moved here from Napa, Calif. He formerly was a long-time resident of Hope, Ark., and spent most of his life in the oil business in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.
He was a member of the Gideon Society and of the Calvary Baptist church.
He is survided by his widow, Mollie Jen Pruett, Baker; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Bailey, Oakland, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. R.J. Ruckman of Clarkston, Wn., and Mrs. Mack Dycous (sic), Conkanally (sic), Wn.; a brother, James Pruett of Spokane; several nieces and nephews.
