She was well known in Grant County as the wife of ex-sheriff Mack Deycous and prominent in lodge and church work. Rev. Scott Wallace officiated at the funeral which was held at the Presbyterian church under auspices of the Neighbors of Woodcraft. She was a native of Missouri and came to Wilbur when a child, her father being an early Methodist minister there. Survived by her husband, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and a stepson. ref: Grant County Journal 6 Nov 1925
