David A. "Butch" Vandaveer, Jr., 45, of Gladstone, Missouri, passed away suddenly July 6, 1991, in the Neodesha, Kansas, Wilson County Hospital.

David was an executive at Trans World Airlines, where he worked for 18 years. He currently held the position of Vice-President and Controller of Maintenance. He was a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Wichita State University in 1969.

He was a former member of the Kansas Air National Guard. He attended the Hillside Christian Church.

He was born in Neodesha, Kansas on December 13, 1945, a son of D.A. and Roberta Vandaveer. He lived in the Kansas City area for the last 22 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Vandaveer, a son, Jeff Vandaveer,and a daughter Stacey Vandaveer, all of the home. Also surviving are his parent of Neodesha, a brother Alan Vandaveer of Denver, Colorado, and a sister Judy
Vandaveer of Roeland Park.

Services were conducted at the church and burial was at the White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, Missouri, with Newcomer's Funeral Home officiating. Burial was July 9, 1991.

The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
