CARRIVEAU, Ollie M. - Age 80, of 5011 Hubbard Lake Rd., Spruce, MI, passed away at home amongst her family on Sunday, January 11, 2004.
Ollie Floyd was born on November 17, 1923 in Salem, Arkansas, to the late Elmer and Annabelle (McBride) Floyd. She married Paul M. Carriveau on December 28, 1965 in Las Vegas. Ollie was employed with the A.C. Sparkplug Company in Flint, as a Floor Inspector for 30 years, retiring in 1978. In 1987, they moved to the Hubbard Lake area. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, their Alter Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Ossineke Eagles Club and Spruce Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by: her husband, Paul; one son, L. Lee (Lawn) Cole of Whitmore Lake, MI; two grandchildren, Christopher Cole of Flint, Jason (Anna) Cole of Warren, MI; her twin sister, Ellie (Mrs. Lee) Welton of Fenton, MI, Louise (Mrs. Paul) Bingham of Grand Blanc, MI; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Vera (Mrs. John) McInnes.
Friends may call at the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-9PM with a parish prayer service beginning at 7PM, followed by a family memorial service. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church at 10AM until the funeral service at 11AM with Rev. Father Lawrence Kelleher officiating. Interment at St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan or Spruce Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
