Roy R. Hanket, 75, died this morning at Warner Hospital. A native of Adams county, he was a son of the late John and Clara (Troxell) Hankey, and a member of the United Methodist church in Gettysburg.
He had been a partner in the Hankey and Plan garage for a number of years and then operated his own garage for some time.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth C. Harbaugh Hankey, to whom he had been wed 52 years, and the following 13 children: Robert Hankey, Vandergrift, PA; Carl Hankey, Hanover; Ralph Hankey, Harrisburg; Mrs. Helen Pope, Durham, NC; Marlin Hankey, Harrisburg; Miss Anna Mae Hankey at home; William Hankey, York; James Hankey, Gettysburg; Mrs. Janet Hartman, Hanover; Barbara McGrew, Central City, NE; Ronald Hankey, Gettysburg; Joyce Hankey at home and Larry Hankey, Gettysburg.
Also surviving are 32 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and brothers, Charles Haney, Ortanna; Wilbur Hankey, Winter Haven, FL and Charles Hankey, Fairfield and a nuber of nieces and nephews.
