Funeral services for Mrs. Sammy Lou DeMoss Benson, age 74, will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM in Plain Dealing Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky DeMoss officiating and Bro. Walter Holmes assisting. Interment will follow in Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will begin Friday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Mrs. Benson was born October 2, 1937 in Plain Dealing, LA to Clarence Clifford "Buck" and Gladys Murphey DeMoss, Sr. and passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in Plain Dealing, LA. She was a resident of Plain Dealing, a member of Plain Dealing Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters, Madeline Rousseau of Plain Dealing, LA, Teresa Griffin and husband, Jerry of Gurdon, AR, Kim Ingram of Plain Dealing, LA, Deanna Baird and husband, Ronnie of Gurdon, AR, Kristi Coverston of Plain Dealing, LA, Lisa Harper and husband, Brandon of Gurdon, AR; sons, Tony Martin and wife, Terri of Blanchard, LA, James Wiley and wife, Christy of Plain Dealing, LA; sisters, Patsy Alsabrook of Plain Dealing, LA, Peggy Cave and husband, Dewey of Albuquerque, NM, Yvette Davis and husband, Virgil of Jonesboro, LA, Suzette Merry and husband, Brian of Plain Dealing, LA; brothers, T.L.
