Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 14 at 10am at the Plain Dealing Baptist Church, with Rev. Don Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Plain Dealing.
Mr. DeMoss was a native and former resident of Plain Dealing. He had lived in Benton the past eight months and was a logging contractor. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Gladys DeMoss, on June 16, 1989, his father, Mr. C. C. DeMoss, on July 29, 1977, and by a brother, Mr. James Carroll "Jimmy" DeMoss, on January 5, 1972.
Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Alma Jean DeMoss, Benton, LA; three sons, Mr. Ricky Dean DeMoss, Vivian, LA, Mr. Terry Clifford DeMoss, Benton, and Mr. Sean Troy DeMoss, Plain Dealing; two daughters, Mrs. Debbie Smith and Mrs. Tanya Melton, both of Portland, OR; three brothers, T. L. DeMoss, Bossier City, LA, Danny George DeMoss, Mt. Pleasant, TX, and Charles Lane DeMoss, Plain Dealing; five sisters, Mrs. Patsy Alsabrook, Plain Dealing, Mrs. Peggy Jo Caue, Groom, TX, Mrs. Yvette Davis, Jonesboro, LA, Mrs. Sammie Lou Wiley and Mrs. Suzette Merry, both of Plain Dealing, LA; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews.
