MARTINSVILLE BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va., Sat., Nov. 29, 1980 [Edited]. Clarence (Todd) Bondurant, 74 of 1106 Plantation Road, Martinsville, was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County Sunday. He was a former co-owner of B. and D. Motor Co. for 20 years and also operated Bondurant Tractor Co., where he retired as president in 1975. Born in Franklin County, Oct. 26, 1906, he was the son of the late Granville Thomas and Bettie Barbour Bondurant. He had been a resident of Martinsville since 1929. Bondurant was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and was the head usher for 16 years. He was a past president of the Nick Prillaman Sunday School class. He was a member and past president of the Martinsville Exchange Club and received awards from that club. He had been ill since Dec. 1979. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Stone Bondurant of the home; one son, Clarence R. (Buddy) Bondurant of Martinsville; two brothers, E. T. (Bud) and A. J. (Jack) Bondurant, both of Martinsville; one sister, Mrs. Leonard A. (Mary) Byrd of Martinsville; and three granddaughters.
