Eliseo V. Abellanosa dead at 68
Eliseo V. Abellanosa, 68, a retired businessman from the Philippines, died Wednesday of a heart attack.
Mr. Abellanosa moved to Seattle six years ago. He was born in the Philippines and graduated from the Normal College at Manila. After serving as a school principal, he became supervisor of 20 public-school districts in the Philippines.
During World War II he served as a major in the Armed Forces of the Far East.
After the war, Mr. Anellanosa [sic.] returned to the family business of coconut and rice farming.
He is survived by his wife, Samaritana of Seattle; four sons' Dr. Orfeo, Dr. Eliseo, Jr., and Ricardo, all of Seattle, and Dr. Emmanuel Abellanosa of Bothell; three daughters, Dr. Elsa Gapuz of Callocan City, Phillipines, Mrs. Nena Nuezca and Fe Abellanasa [sic.] Seattle; a sister, Mrs. Gloria Landero, Seattle, and one sister and six brothers in the Phillipines.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Bonney Watson Chapel. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Cathedral.
