GALESBURG - Wilbur L. Johnson, 77, of 804 Beecher Ave. died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at his residence.

Born May 22, 1926, in Tennessee, Ill., to Orlin W. and Bessie Mae Otto Johnson, he married Clara Lee Bliven on Nov. 20, 1945, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary (and Dorothy) of Washington and Michael (and Sharon) of Galesburg; two daughters, Pamela (and Marvin) Brock of Galesburg and Peggy Williams of Billings, Mont.; one brother, Phillip (and Rita) of Good Hope; two sisters, Lois Cann of Galesburg and Ruth Dowell of Williamsport, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

He was a World War II Navy veteran.

He was a conductor on the Burlington Northern Railroad for 38 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Alpha Masonic Lodge 155.

He was a member of First Christian Church in Galesburg.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before. The Rev. Greg Fitch will officiate. Masonic rites will be accorded by his Masonic lodge. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285.
