North Augusta, SC – Entered into rest Sunday, January 1, 2012, Frances J. Deas, 81, wife of Harold A. Deas.

Mrs. Deas was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. She was a native of Millen, GA but lived in Augusta for the past 50 years, and retired from Curtis Baptist School where she was a school bus driver for over 20 years. Frances was a homemaker, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Family members include: her husband and son: Art Deas and wife Tammy, grandchildren: Daniel, Taylor, Kelly and Heather Deas, sister: Isabelle Moxley. Mrs. Deas is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Dixon, and parents: Edith and Charlie Johnson.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Sandra Lieghtner officiating. Entombment followed in Westover Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Leonard Moxley, Lamar Dixon, Butler Thorne, Eddie Writer, Daniel Deas, and Drew Hall.
