Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. His true name was Harry Huckman. He served as a Corporal in the Union Army in Company A, 22d New York Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on March 2, 1865 at Waynesboro, Virginia. His citation reads "Capture of flag and bearer, with two other prisoners."
