Leona Carolyn "Swede" Hendricks died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1992, at her home in Glenrock.
Leona was the daughter of Herb and Bessie (Johnson) Alder. She was reared and educated in Merriman, Nebraska. She was married to Clifford Hendricks on Feb. 25, 1930, in S. D. They lived in Merriman until moving to Glenrock in 1938. Swede was employed at Kay's Clothing Store in Glenrock for many years.
She is survived by her children, Herb Hendricks and Lois Hendricks Kennaugh, both of Glenrock; a brother, Leonard Alder of Valentine, Neb.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; a daughter, Darlene Hendricks Renzelman; and a sister, Lena Kieffer.
