Lois (Hendricks) Kennaugh was born in Valentine, Nebraska on March 21, 1936 to Clifford and Leona (Alder) Hendricks. The youngest of three children, they moved to Glenrock when she was two years old. Lois attended school in Glenrock, graduating in 1954. Upon graduation she attended and graduated from the Central Business School in Denver, Colo. She returned home and was employed as a secretary by Gulf Oil Corporation, both in Casper and Denver. In 1959 she married Don Kennaugh in Christ Episcopal Church. To this union Don brought Chris and Kay. The family circle was completed with the birth of Tom and Mike. While living in Glenrock, she served as organist. Don's transfer to Texas in 1965 began another phase of her life. While living in Texas she was organist at St. Michael's Church in Groves, Texas, as well as employed by the newspaper for five years and ultimately became secretary at Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Edison Junior High for 17 years. Retirement brought Don and Lois back to their "roots" in 1991. Since returning home, she served on the board of the Glenrock Senior Center, was organist at Christ Episcopal Church, member of the Guild, and member of Golden West Chapter #37 OES.

Survivors include her husband Don, daughter Kay Lewis and husband Stephen, Dr. Chris Kennaugh and his wife Pat, Tom Kennaugh and Mike Kennaugh and five grandchildren, Todd, Sean, Cory, Aubry, Ian and Stephen Luke.
