Christine Ann Marziello Benlien, 42, of 290 Crane Avenue, Pittsfield, died Sunday, November 27, 2011.

Born in Pittsfield on June 16, 1969, a daughter of Francis and Beverly A. Gary Marziello of Pittsfield, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Taconic High School.

For the past six months, Mrs. Benlien had been employed by a private family as a personal care attendant. For two years, she worked as a phlebotomist at Berkshire Medical Center, and prior to that had been a case manager at Barton's Crossing.

She was a communicant at St. Mark Church. Mrs. Benlien is remembered as a wonderful and giving person with a big heart who loved her family. She enjoyed her computer, shopping, cooking for family and friends, and taking care of her grandson, and watching her children play sports.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Benlien, whom she married on April 6, 1990. Besides her husband and her parents, she leaves a son, Austin J. Benlien, 15; two daughters, Amanda L. Benlien, 21, and Ashley M. Benlien, 17, all of Pittsfield; two sisters, Marie E. VanBramer and her husband, Mark, of Pittsfield, and Susan Overbaugh and her husband, Thomas, of Oviedo, Florida; a grandson, Chantz Jayden Devyne Lynch; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and her mother- and father-in-law, Robert and Carol Benlien, of Pittsfield.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., in St. Mark Church celebrated by Rev. John C. Salatino, Pastor.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME.
