Thomas Johnson, aged 79 years, died at his home near Rising Sun, on Christmas afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, from a complication of diseases, after an illness of several months.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 28, with services at Union M.E. Church, Fremont, at 2:00 p.m., and interment in adjoining cemetery.
Mr Johnson was born in England coming to this country as a boy.
He had been a resident of this locality for the past 35 years. For a number of years he was employed by the firm E. R. Buffington & son who conducted a large department store in Rising Sun.
Of late years he had spent most of his time farming his small property north of town. Twice married he is survived by his second wife and four children by his former marriage, three sons and one daughter, Charles of Media, Pa; Earl of Chester, Pa; Roy, of Honey Brook, Pa, and Mrs. Ella Preston of Perryville.

His death certificate lists that his death was in West Nottingham Township.
