George Bell, a retired member of the Jersey City police department, died Saturday at his home at Long Branch. He was 73 years old and was born in Ireland, coming to this country when he was a youth. He retired from the police force several years ago and had been employed as a guard by the Provident Institution for Savings at Jersey City. Surviving are a widow and one son.
