LIBERTY--William R. Howard, 78, R.R. 1, died late Saturday at McCullough-Hyde Hospital, Oxford, Ohio. Born in Dearborn County, he had resided in Union County for 26 years and was an active farmer. He was a member of Edwards Memorial Methodist Church and a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are the widow, Helen; two daughters, Mrs. Norman Ritter of Reno, Nev., and Mrs. James Greiner of R.R. 2, Connersville; two sons, Dick L. of R.R. 1, Liberty, and James William of Brown Road, Oxford, Ohio; a brother, Eugene Howard of Centerville, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services for Mr. Howard will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Baker Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert W. Rogers officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted in West Point Cemetery by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post at Liberty. Friends may call at the funeral home.
