Bernice Miera Aragón, a lifetime resident and business woman of Socorro, NM, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 14, 2001 at Thomason Hospital in El Paso, TX.
Bernice was born in San Antonio, NM to J.E. and Theresa (Zimmerly) Miera.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Maurice and two sisters, Alice and Odelia.
Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Christian Aragón of their home in Socorro, NM, two daughters, Ina Walton and her husband, Frank of Brentwood, CA and Betty Easley and her husband, Jesse of Socorro, grandchildren, Kaye Green, Ron Girón, Maxine Muncy, Pam Boldstad, Sandy Reid, Russell Girón and Francine Simone, great-grandchildren, Dona Hall, Amber Girón, Venicia Ferguson, Cory Muncy, Patrick Green, Alicia Green, Nathan Girón and Megan Simone, great-great-grandchildren, Gabriele, Brianna and Elizabeth Hall, also many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was "Auntie Benny" to her many friends.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 17, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 18, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Edward Domme as Celebrant. Interment will be at San Antonio Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Girón, Russell Girón, Adolph Baca, Franke Chávez, Jon Gilmore and Phil Boldstad.
