Mrs. Aline Bailey Rogers, 65, died Saturday in Ocean View Memorial Hospital, Myrtle Beach, S.C. after a long illness.

She was a Charleston native and retired to Ocean Isle Beach, N.C. in 1968. Mrs. Rogers was a department head at Stone and Thomas here for 20 years. She was active in Elk minstrel shows and other stage productions and was a contralto soloist in valley churches.. Mrs. Rogers formerly had her own radio show for Blubaugh Bakery. In North Carolina, she was a member of Shallotte Presbyterian Church and its women's circle.

Surviving: husband, John W. Rogers of Ocean Isle Beach; daughter, Mrs. Patricia S. Hendricks of South Charleston; sisters, Mrs. Iva B. Foster of South Charleston, Mrs. Gladys E. Detamore of Staunton, Va.; brothers, Albert B. Bailey, Jr. of South Charleston, David Daton Bailey of Henderson, Nev.

Service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Norman of North Carolina officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A. memorial service was Sunday in Shallotte Presbyterian Church, prior to transportation of the body here.

Friends may call today from 7 to 10 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
