Mrs. Byres was born in Venango County, January 6, 1863. The daughter of Jonah and Mary Miller Jacobs. She had been a resident of Hillsvilee for eleven years and was a member of the Hillsville Methodist Church.
Besides her husband to whom she was married in 1889, she leves the following children, Mrs. Walter Rose of Polk, Mrs. Jefferson Harmon of Prospect, Mrs. Walter Stoner of Hillsville, Barton Byers of Nobelsville, Johah Byers of Hillsville and Sheldon Byers of Enon Valley. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and three brothers, B.F. Jacobs of Kennerdale, Clarke Jacobs of Clintonville and Samuel Jacobs of Arkansa.
Funeral services will take place Monday, December 13, at one p.m. from her home in Hillsville. Internment will be made in Graceland Cemetery. The New Castle News, December 10, 1926.
