Elea Owens Woodham of Abbeville and formerly of Edwin died Wednesday,Oct. 26, 2005, at Henry County Nursing Facility after an extended illness. She was 80.

Funeral services for our precious mother, wife, grandmother and aunt will be Sunday,Oct. 30, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Kent Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula. The Rev. Jr. Hancock will officiate and burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery near Dothan.

The family will accept flowers or suggest that donations be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 831 W. Washington St., Eufaula, AL 36027.

She was born in Henry County on Sept. 21, 1925, to her loving parents, Cullen Jessie and Queen Bell Champion Owens. She attended Edwin Methodist Church.

Her parents and a sister, Louise Smith, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Mixon "Bo" Woodham of Abbeville; daughter, Patricia Sinfield Micheaux of Arlington, Texas; son, Mabron Mixon Woodham of Dothan; seven grandchildren and in-laws, Lisa Smith and Tony Simmons, Keith and Whitney Hatfield, Kendall and Anita Hatfield, Frannie and Tony Williams, Elizabeth Gold, Daphne Woodham, Blake and Tosha Woodham; eight great-grandchildren, Shawn Smith, Lakeisha Smith, Stephanie Smith, Alexis Williams, Shelby Hatfield, Danielle Hatfield, Pamela Hatfield, Alexis Gold; one great-great-grandson, Tyler Smith; loving niece, Gloria Grantham; great-niece and nephew, John and Felicia Grantham and Angie Grantham; great-great-nephew, Tyler Grantham.

Asked to serve as pallbearers will be Keith Hatfield, Kendall Hatfield, Blake Woodham, Mixon Woodham, Lamar Buxton and John Smith.

Kent Funeral Home of Eufaula, (334) 687-5725, is in charge of arrangements.
