Ivan Spencer Jacobsen, 66, a resident of Will County the past 25 years, died late Monday at St. Mary's Hospital.
Mr. Jacobsen was born July 28, 1896, at Leigh, Nebraska, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Jacobsen.
He was employed as an accountant for the Reliable Packing Company of Chicago for 26 years until his retirement.
Survivors include his widow, Gladys; daughter, Mrs. Warren Baker of Peotone; son, Jack, also of Peotone; brothers, Ralph of Northfield, Minnesota (*); eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Vera Bradley, two sons and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Monee. Visitors may call at the Rambo Funeral Home, Monee, from 7 p.m. Wednesday until noon Friday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.
The Reverend A. W. Klumb will officiate and burial will be in Skyline Memorial Cemetery.
