Mary Edith Alexander of Texarkana, Arkansas, born August 30, 1913 in Vinita, Oklahoma went to be with her Heavenly Father December 30, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover T. and Sarah Jane Williamson; one sister, four brothers; two sisters-in-law; her husband, Levi Alexander of Leakey, Texas; one son, Bobby Alexander of Leakey, Texas; one son-in-law, , Albert Chriestenson of Texarkana, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Debbie Feltman of New Mexico; two great great grandchildren, Dylan Blake Gerald and Kelli Jo Stewart both of Texarkana, Arkansas.

Mary Edith lived in Leakey, Texas for many years where she and Levi raised their children. She was the Head Dietician for the Leakey Independent School for more than 15 years. She was a member of Victory Temple Pentecostal Church in Genoa, AR. For the last years of her life she lived with her oldest daughter and her family in Texarkana, Arkansas where she passed away.

She is survived by one son, , Fred Roberts of Texarkana, Arkansas; two daughters, Cynthia Chriestenson of Texarkana, Arkansas and Gayle Jones of Texarkana, Arkansas; one son-in-law, Tom Jones also of Texarkana, AR. Mrs. Alexander is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 32 great great grandchildren; also many loved nieces and nephews.

Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2012 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown, Texarkana, Texas with Rev. Bill Chaney officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, Arkansas under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, January 1, 2012 at East Funeral Home - Downtown, Texarkana, Texas.

Mary Edith lived for the Lord while on this earth and now she resides in HEAVEN. You will be greatly missed and Always Loved, Mother.
