Resident 70 Years at Cross Plains,Dies
State Journal News Service CROSS PLAINS—Mrs. Anna Hoven,
82, a resident of this vicinity for almost 70 years, died at her home in this village Sunday night after six years of illness. She would have reached her 83rd birthday on Feb 10.Mrs. Hoven came to this country at the age of 13 with her parents, who settled in the township of Berry She married Anton Doramershausen as the first couple to be married in the present St. Francis Xavier Catholic: church and moved North Neillsville, Ind where her husband was killed in a coal mine explosion. She returned to Cross Plains amlater married Adam Hoven, who die 48 years ago. She later remarried again. Survivors are, two daughters, Mrs. Herman Buttchen, Black Earth,and Mrs. Peter Faust, Cross Plains; four sons, Albeit Dommershausen,
Cross Plains, and Jacob Hoven, Lone Rock; William Hoven, Loganville,and Lawrence Hoven, Lake Andes, South Dakota; three step-sons, Casper Hoven, Sauk City, John and Edward Hoven, Milwaukee. Twenty-eight grandchildren and 23 great grand-children also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at St. France Xancis church here with burial in the church cemetery.
