CROSS PLAINS — Catherine J.Buttchen, age 95, formerly of Cross Plains died on Tuesday, March 24, 1981 at the Waunakee Manor Health Care Center where she had resided for the past seven years. The former CatherineJ. Hoven was born on April 2, 1885 at Pine Bluff. She was married to HermanJ. Buttchen on October 4, 1904. He preceded her in death on December 8,1972. The couple had been lifelong Cross Plains area residents. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cross Plains and its Council of Catholic Women. Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs.. Herman (Armella) Miller of Waunakee and Mrs. William (Veronica) Miller of Madison; two sons, Elmer of Evansville and Leon of new Lisbon; 21 grandchildren; 40
great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. at the GRUBER-CROSS PLAINS FUNERAL HOME, 2905 Esser Street, and at 10:30 a.m. at ST.FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH in Cross Plains. Burial will
be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 at the funeral home where a rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
