Funeral services for Ethel Caldwell LaBorde Lord of Winnsboro are scheduled for Friday, December 30, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home Winnsboro, with her nephew, Rev. Don Boyett officiating. Burial will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery.

Mother was born November 21, 1926 in Crowville, to the late Robert W. (Bob) Caldwell and Jewel Long Caldwell. She went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. She was preceded in death by her first husband, the late Leon LaBorde of Winnsboro; and fifteen brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her third husband, Clifton Lord. She was a wonderful and loving mother to her three children: her son, Robert Leon LaBorde and his wife, Sue of Delhi; two daughters, Dyana LaBorde Madden of Baton Rouge; and Gay LaBorde Wright and her husband, Stephen, of Sumner, WA. Seven grandsons are also left to cherish her memory: Rodney Leon LaBorde and his wife, Lori, of West Monroe and timothy Lynn LaBorde and his wife, Mandy of Delhi; Dustin Neil Cryer of Redmond, WA; and Bradley David Madden and his wife, Ashly of Baton Rouge; Eric Hunter Lochbrunner and his wife Kim, of Salem, OR; Barkley Craig Lochbrunner and his wife, Karah of Crowville; and Lee Olson Wright of Sumner, WA. Big Mama, as she was affectionately known, also leaves a legacy of love to her seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, James, Bailey, Logan, and Riley LaBorde, Lilly Piper Lochbrunner and Lillian Madden. She is also survived by one sister, Doris Jones of Rayville; four step-children, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her seven grandsons Rodney, Tim, Dustin, Brad, Eric, Craig and Lee will serve as pallbearers.
