Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 16, 1990, for Mattie Lou Dotson, 81, of Crowville. The Rev. John Williams officiated at 2 p.m. Burial followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 1990, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, William Cecil Dotson, Crowville; a daughter, Shirley Brantley, Carthage, Miss.; two sons, Joe Bob Snuggs, Crowville; and Robert Mack Kirksey, Winnsboro; a step-son, Shelby Dotson, Shreveport; step-daughter, Velva Eldridge, Shreveport; a brother, S. B. Caldwell, Crowville; two sisters, Bonnie Kennedy, Winnsboro; and Bernice Watkins, Carthage, Miss.; three step-sisters, Ethel Lord, Winnsboro; Lessie Jewel Boyette, Winnsboro; and Doris Jones, Winnsboro; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bobby Cox, Ricky Caldwell, Randy Eldridge, Robbie Laborde, Bobby Ray Caldwell and Buddy Kennedy.
