Mildred Katherine Hobbs, 88, of New Washington died Dec. 25, 2011 at Hampton Oaks in Scottsburg, IN.

She was born on March 13, 1923 in Jeffersonville, IN to Robert and Maggie Bower Baird. She was a former employee of I.C.I. in Charlestown and a member of the New Market Christian Church.

She is survived by her sons; Jerry Hobbs(Juanita) of New Washington, IN and John Hobbs(Gina) of Nabb, IN daughter; Janie Hobbs of Charlestown, IN,brothers; George Baird of Madison, IN and Jim Baird of Charlestown, sisters; Lula Jones of Marysville, IN and Virginia Cooper of Charlestown and 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 28, 2011 at Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to the New Market Christian Church.
