Funeral services for Virginia Lee Cooper, 85, Charlestown, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Cooper Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at her home.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1927, to Robert Roland and Maggie Bell (Bower) Baird in Clark County. She was a lifelong farmer, and a retired school bus driver, a member of the Order of the Easter Star 597, and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Johnson and her husband Mike, Charlestown, Carolyn Clark and her husband Wynn, Charlestown, and Brenda Cartright and her husband Jerry, Charlestown; sons, Forest Cooper Jr., New Washington, Darrel Cooper, Marysville, and Rickie Cooper, Charlestown; brothers, George Baird, Madison, and Jim Baird, Marysville; sister, Lula Jones, Marysville; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forest Cooper Sr.; grandsons, Chris Cartright and Anthony Cooper; six brothers and sisters.
