MRS. C. M. CLARKSON DIES NEAR LAKENAN
Funeral services were conducted last Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. M. Shoemaker of LaPlata, Mo., at the Kendall Methodist church for Mrs. Caroline Matilda Clarkson who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Greening, on their farm six miles east of Shelbina, Monday afternoon at the age of eighty-four years.
Burial was in the Kendall cemetery.
Her husband James Clarkson died about 15 years ago. She was married at the close of the Civil War, and reared a family of six children, two of whom are dead. She leaves four daughters: Mrs. Thomas Greening, Mrs. William Butler, Mrs. Edward Sorrell, and Mrs. Boyd Butler, all living near Lakenan. She also leaves twenty-seven grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.
