William E. Mundis, 81, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at his residence. He was the husband of Anna Barton Krout Mundis to whom he married on February 15, 1952.

Mr. Mundis was born on March 27, 1922 in Freysville. He was the son of the late Harry F. And Elizabeth J. (Heiland) Mundis. Mr. Mundis was a Red Lion High School graduate and held a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Political Science from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He was a World War II U.S. Army Staff Sergeant serving in both Europe and Africa. Mr. Mundis was a Procedures Analyst for Caterpillar in York and retired from there on June 3, 1983. He was a member and former Elder of the York Gospel Center and attended Bridgeway Community Church, AARP, and was a member of the Yorktowne Racquet & Fitness Club.

Mr. Mundis is also survived by a son, Michael W. Mundis of Glen Rock; three daughters, Rachel A. Mundis of Lancaster, Lois E. Mundis of York, and Esther E. Cozzens of York; four grandchildren, Michelle & Ryan Mundis of Glen Rock and Nathan & Brittany Cozzens of York; and several nieces & nephews.
