Michael W. Mundis, 58, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family and dog, Kobe. He was the husband of Frederica A. (Heinecke) Mundis. The couple celebrated their 29th anniversary on June 29, 2014. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. The Reverend Dr. Douglas Lyon will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Stabler's Cemetery in Parkton, Md. Michael was born in York on August 11, 1956, the son of Anna (Krout) Mundis of East Prospect and the late William E. Mundis. He was the owner and operator of M.W. Mundis Construction. Michael was a lifelong member of York Gospel Center, where he played on their softball and basketball teams. He was also involved with TNT baseball and softball. He was a member of Izaak Walton League, National Rifle Association, and York Builder's Association. He was a committee member and a leader of Boy Scout Troop 48 of Glen Rock. Along with his wife, Michael leaves a son, Ryan M. Mundis; a daughter, Michelle R. Mundis, both of Glen Rock; and three sisters, Rachel Mundis of Mountville, Lois Mundis of York and Esther Hoch and her husband, David of York. Memorial contributions may be made to Servants, Inc., 100 Redco Ave., Suite C-O, Red Lion, PA 17356 or Michael W. Mundis Memorial Fund, c/o M&T Bank, 69 Forrest Ave., Shrewsbury, PA 17361, to assist the family with long term medical expenses
