Lyons Wayne "Cowboy" Davis, 63, of Brobeck Road, Limestone, died Sunday morning at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Davis was a farmer and a former employee of Five Rivers Electronic Innovations, LLC.

He was of the Baptist tradition of faith.

Mr. Davis was a member of the Caney Creek Fire Department.

Survivors include his former wife: Marilyn Gregg Davis; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Hollis "Bud" and Myrtle Davis of Erwin, Samuel Mark and Brenda Davis of Limestone, Stormy and Judy Davis of Jonesborough, and Stoney Davis of Limestone; a sister: Cheryl Kennawee Nelson of Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends: Howard Weller and Ed Hargrave.

He was a son of the late Kenneth and Olive Aldridge Davis and was preceded in death by a daughter: Lore Annette Davis; and two sisters: Vonetta Davis and Marie Davis.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Otis Banks and the Rev. Alfred Cutshall will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning in Morning Star Cemetery in Washington County. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 in the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clifford Davis, C.L. White, James White, Dean White, Toney Davis, E.G. Morrow, and J.R. Adams.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Embreeville Fire Department
