Service for Wayne Miller, 70, of Bowie was held Saturday, Oct. 21, in the Southside Baptist Church in Bowie. Rev. Jim Towles, Pastor of the Southside Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.
Born Dec. 25, 1929, in Bowie, he married Joreen Reid on July 30, 1950, in Bellevue. He was a retired oilfield pumper.
He is survived by his wife Joreen, of Bowie; five sons, Marvin and his wife Bobbie Miller of Bowie, Jerry and his wife Barbara of Decatur, Ronnie and his wife Rie of Bowie, Alan and his wife Tammie of Bowie and Kenney and his wife Barbara of Bowie.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a brother, Raymond Miller of Gainsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has requested memorials be made to the Bowie Bank Bobby Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund or Hospice of Rural Texas in Bowie.
