JULIE (BURDEN) MILLER - Mrs. Charles E. (Julia) Miller, Route Two, Harmon, died Wednesday morning (9 Jun 1971) in Community General Hospital. There will be visitation after 2 p.m. Thursday in the Grennan and Son Funeral Home and a rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral rites are to be held Friday morning with a prayer service at 10:15 in the Grennan Funeral Home and requiem mass at 11 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tampico. The mass will be said by a grandson, the Rev. Robert R. Miller of St. Charles. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 9, 1891 in Tampico, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George (Roseanne Wisely) Burden. She was the last member of her family. She was united in marriage Nov. 3, 1915 to Charles Miller at St. Mary's Church, Tampico. They farmed their entire married life in the Harmon area. Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Flannen's Catholic Church, Harmon, and St. Anne Altar Society. She is survived by her husband and four daughters and three sons, Mrs. James (Rita Anne) Goetzmann, Rock Island; Mrs. Lynn (Josephine) Kiser, Walnut; Mrs. Frank (Theresa) Klocke, Rock Falls; Mrs. Donald (Marian) Place, Monroe, Wis.; George J. and Paul J. Miller, Sterling; and Hugh F. Miller, Harmon. There are 34 grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was precededc by one son, John, of the U.S. Marine Corps who was killed during World War II, and four grandchildren.
