Miss GLADYS BURGESS
Miss Gladys Burgess, 59, of Bennington died Saturday after a long illness. She was the daughter of George and Nellie (Grover) Burgess, born June 25, 1908 in Bennington.
At one time she had been employed at the Cooper Needle Shop here.
Survivors are five brothers, Earl Burgess, Sr., Harold Burgess, Clyde Burgess, Sr., Frank Burgess and Guy Burgess, all of Bennington; three sisters, Mrs. Irene Thurber, Mrs. Ruth Shea and Mrs. Jennie Knapp, all of Bennington; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 pm in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. H. Glenn Payne, First Baptist Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home are this afternoon from 2 to 4 and tonight from 7 to 9.
