C.A. was born on June 28, 1922 in Spanish Fort, TX to William Oren and Annie Adams Kilcrease.
He graduated from Henrietta High School in 1939 and enlisted in the army in August, 1942.
He served in the 761st Bombardment Squadron in Italy.
He was honorably discharged in October, 1945, with several medals and stars as a testament to his devotion to his country.
He married Erma Ruth Lowrie on September 7, 1946, in Decatur, TX. They resided in Henrietta, Montague and Nocona, TX during their 64 years of marriage.
He was the Tax Assessor-Collector for the Nocona ISD until his retirement in 1987.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Erma Ruth, his brother, John D., and his son-in-law, Dale Dow.
He is survived by his son, Kyle and wife Betty Kilcrease of El Paso, Daughters, Karen Dow of Bowie, TX, and Kody and husband Bill Mullan of Bellevue, WA; grandchildren, Kirk, Kara, Kelsey, Amanda, Brooke and Courtney; Great-Grandchildren, Zoe, Baley, Ava, Parker, Finn, Ryan,Wyatt and yet another Kilcrease due mid 2012; sisters, Anita Cox of Oklahoma City, OK, Jane Adams of Archer City, TX, and brother, Odell Kilcrease of Henrietta, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and Rose Woods, long time friend and caregiver to both C.A. and Erma Ruth.
Graveside services will be held at the Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, TX on Monday, December 26, 2011, at 1:00 PM, under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home, Nocona, TX with The Reverend Shelley McNew officiating.
