Clarinda J. Allman was born December 17, 1836, in White Co., Indiana, near Lafayette; died at the home of her son, C.M. Allman, six miles southeast of Houston, Sept. 5, 1920; aged 83 years, 8 months and 18 days. Deceased was married to Alexander Allman in 1857. Seven children resulted from this union, two dead, five living. The survivors are Charles M. Allman, Elmer Allman and Olive Collins, who live in Texas County; Rosella M. Davis, of Mercer Co., Mo., near Princeton; Effie L. Lewis, who lives in Oklahoma.

Funeral services were held at Ozark September 6 and burial in that cemetery.

Another of the good mothers gone and a most excellent citizen. A long and useful life has ended.
