MAXINE ADKINS TEMPLETON, 94, of Barboursville, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2008, in Huntington Health and Rehab. She was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family. She was born September 19, 1913, in Wayne, the last surviving child of the late Ellett and Laura Gilkerson Adkins. She was a member of East Campbell Park United Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Eugene Templeton; four sisters, Ethel Ross, Bonnie Adkins Pinkerton, Macy Bradshaw Bloss and Laura Childers; six brothers, Herbert Adkins, Gene Adkins, Emmitt Adkins, Ellett Adkins, Joney Adkins and James Adkins. Survivors include two daughters, Patty and Jones Ramsey of Branchland and Kathy Wallace of Barboursville; two sons, L.E. "Smokey" and Alice Templeton and David and Sandra Templeton, both of Milton; 12 grandchildren, Kathleen Templeton of Charlotte, N.C., William and Paula Templeton, David Wallace of Barboursville, Lisa Ramsey Perry of Branchland, Jones Ramsey Jr. of Wayne County, John and Patricia Ramsey of Lesage, Timmy Ramsey of Branchland, Rhonda Templeton Jarvis of Wayne, James Templeton of Huntington, David Templeton of Columbus, Ohio, Mike and Christy Werner of Proctorville, Ohio, and Mary and Joey Albright of Wayne; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Rev. Joseph Jarrett, Rev. Keith Leap and Rev. Richard Black. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, W.Va. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
