Mrs. SIMMONS Rites Monday
Last rites for Mrs. Anna Mae SIMMONS, 78, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral home.
Mrs. SIMMONS, a lifetime resident of Jefferson county, died Friday at the local hospital. She resided at 606 S. Third.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Charles Kerestly. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. SIMMONS was born in Fairfield June 20, 1885, the daughter of George W. and Philanda (sic. Philinda) NOTT REED. She was reared and educated in the Batavia community. She was married to Frank N. SIMMONS Sept. 3, 1902. He preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1957.
Mrs. SIMMONS was a member of the Free Methodist church. She had made her home in Fairfield for 60 years. Surviving are the following children: Frank SIMMONS, Gary Ind.; Karl SIMMONS and Dale SIMMONS, both of Fairfield; Mrs. Merl FITCH, West Cobina, Calif.; Mrs. Joe MEDINA, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Charles Fitch, Ottumwa; and Mrs. Robert E. LEE (sic. Betty Joan), Fairfield.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, one brother, and five sisters.
